My school work this year revolves around the idea that one can be present physically, but mentally vacant. What the body does is not necessarily what the person does. While the body is completing a laborious task, the mind may be wandering, in a completely different place altogether.
To convey this I want to use large spaces of white or black (depending on the paper) and bright colours to bring attention to the subjects expression. I'm still working on other ways to help convey this...
